Service Description
Virtual coaching allows me to focus on supporting you while getting to know your dog in the environment where they're most comfortable. For dogs who are fearful, anxious, reactive, or simply not ready to welcome an unfamiliar person into their home, virtual sessions can be especially valuable. Without the added stress of a trainer's physical presence, I can often get a better understanding of your dog's everyday behavior while helping you recognize their communication, respond to their needs, and build skills at their pace. My goal isn't just to teach your dog new behaviors. It's to help you feel heard, supported, and more confident working with your dog, even when things feel overwhelming. What Can We Work On? Fear, Anxiety & Reactivity: Understanding triggers, recognizing stress signals, building confidence, and developing behavior modification strategies. Resource Guarding: Reducing conflict, improving management, and building safer interactions. Muzzle Acclimation: Teaching your dog to comfortably and willingly participate in wearing a basket muzzle through gradual, positive conditioning. Cooperative Care & Handling: Building comfort and cooperation with grooming, veterinary care, and everyday handling. Puppy Training & Manners: Foundational skills, household routines, impulse control, and communication. Confidence Building: Helping hesitant dogs develop positive associations and navigate new experiences. Everyday Challenges: Barking, jumping, overexcitement, settling, enrichment, and household management. Ongoing Training Support: Reviewing progress, troubleshooting challenges, and adjusting existing training plans. What to Expect Each session includes 40 minutes of personalized, one-on-one coaching through Zoom. Depending on your goals, we may discuss behavior patterns, review videos, demonstrate techniques, or practice exercises together with real-time guidance. Your dog doesn't need to participate for the entire session! Sometimes the most valuable progress starts with understanding their behavior and making small changes to their environment or daily routines. Before Booking New clients with significant behavioral concerns are required to complete an Initial Behavior Assessment before booking ongoing virtual coaching. Many behavior concerns can be effectively addressed virtually. Depending on your dog's needs, I may recommend additional in-person support or veterinary collaboration. Cancellation Policy
General Training & Services Policy By booking or purchasing services with Guiding Tails LLC, the owner acknowledges and agrees that all training and care services are based on humane, science-based methods focused on building clear communication and positive behavior change. Results are not guaranteed, as progress depends on many factors including consistency, environment, and the owner’s follow-through outside of sessions. The owner agrees to provide accurate and complete information regarding their dog’s health, behavior history, and any known risks prior to the start of services. Dogs must be in good health and under routine veterinary care. Guiding Tails LLC is not a veterinary provider, and training is not a substitute for veterinary care or behavioral medication when appropriate; however, collaboration with your veterinary team is encouraged to best support you and your dog. The owner understands that working with animals carries inherent risk and agrees to follow all safety and management recommendations provided. Guiding Tails LLC reserves the right to modify, pause, or discontinue services if safety concerns arise or recommendations are not followed. Sessions must be used within a reasonable timeframe agreed upon at purchase. Cancellations or rescheduling require advance notice; late cancellations may result in the loss of that session. Package purchases are non-refundable once services have begun and are not transferable without prior approval. The owner agrees to hold Guiding Tails LLC harmless for injury or damage not caused by gross negligence.
