In-Home Initial Behavior Assessment
Clear guidance and a personalized plan from day one
Service Description
Your Initial Behavior Assessment is where I take the time to fully understand your dog, your home, and your goals. This 60–90 minute in-home session allows me to observe your dog in their natural environment, talk through behavior history, and identify what’s actually driving the behaviors you’re seeing. Together, we’ll break things down into clear, practical steps so you leave with guidance you can immediately start applying. Whether you’re working through behavior challenges, improving communication, or building everyday manners, this session is designed to give you clarity and a realistic path forward. This is not a one-size-fits-all approach—every plan is tailored to your dog, your lifestyle, and your household. My goal is to help you understand the “why” behind your dog’s behavior while giving you the tools to create lasting, positive change. As an IAABC-ADT (Accredited Dog Trainer) and Family Dog Mediator, I take a science-based, relationship-focused approach, using clear communication and positive reinforcement to support both dogs and their humans. Following your session, you’ll receive a detailed email recap outlining your personalized plan, key takeaways, and next steps so you can feel confident continuing the work between sessions. From there, I can recommend ongoing support options, including training packages or board and train programs, depending on your goals and the level of support you’re looking for. Service Area: Rates vary by location. Please select the correct option for Pierce County or King County when booking. While the initial session is priced by location, ongoing sessions or packages may include additional travel fees depending on distance. Virtual consultations are also available for select cases or clients outside my immediate service area.
